Cat Foster Carer Volunteer

We are looking for volunteer foster carers to provide a safe, calm and loving temporary home for cats.

These cats have either been signed over to Raystede and could benefit from a home environment until they are adopted, or they are part of our Break Away scheme.

The length of fostering varies depending on the individual cats’ needs but is usually for around 3 months or until the cat finds a new home.

During this time, we ask foster carers to provide all the care and attention that an owner would. Raystede will supply all the food, equipment and veterinary care that you’ll need to foster cats.

The aim of the role is to provide a caring home environment, including continuing important training and monitoring/treatment of the cat’s health.

Looking after the cats and knowing what difference you’re making to someone’s life who may be in a vulnerable position can be highly rewarding.
